Inside: The Christmas season is off to a wonderful start, Drive Through Nativity is almost here, we need some help in the nursery, Christmas ornaments are ready for pick up, Youth Christmas party, and more!
The Christmas and Advent season is in full swing! We began our Advent Season with two amazing concerts. Both the Mark Trammel and the Whisnants and the Advent Chorale did a wonderful job of helping us get into the Christmas Spirit! Our Hanging of the Green Service was wonderful as we got to see so many of our kids taking part in the service. All of these events took a lot of work behind the scenes and we are so grateful for all your help.
We could use a few more volunteers to love on our babies in the Nursery. We've got a lot of kids in there, and we want to make sure they (and their parents) feel loved and taken care of while they are at church. The more volunteers we have ,the less you're needed to serve. If you would be willing to serve on a rotating basis, please email Christy (ctarver@fbcthomson.org).
Sunday, December 11 at 6:00 we will have our annual Youth Christmas Party at the Tarver's house. We will have lots of yummy food, games, and a gift exchange! Please bring a $15 gift for the exchange!
Christmas Ornaments and prints are here! You can pick them up after church on Sunday or stop by the church office. We do have a few extra ornaments if you did not preorder one and would like to get one.
We have a few more copies of the Advent book available if you haven't picked one up yet!
Drive-Thru Nativity starts this Sunday! Please help us spread the word by sharing our posts on Facebook. There is a chance of rain during the Nativity -- any decisions made based on weather will be posted on Facebook.
We could still use some help this weekend with getting all of the sets up and decorated.
Saturday, 10:00am -- we need hands to put up the Caesar set and the tents, and spread the greenery; with enough help, it shouldn’t take long
*Sunday after church* -- this is for everybody; as soon as you can come back from lunch, we need as much help as possible putting props in place
Our social media photo challenge is underway over on Facebook! If you haven't been participating, it's not too late to start!
